consider Christ
Woohoo! What an amazing past few weeks it has been. It'll take me far too long to write down everything I'd dearly love to share about it, but first up there are some people that I must really thank from the bottom of my heart...
jess, for letting me put my stuff in your garage
lawrence+chunchin, for safekeeping my laptop and other stuff over summer and for offering your house for us in jan
sam, for safekeeping the clotheshorse over summer
charm, for your great hospitality in putting me up at your place for these 3 days and even feeding me!! and i'm using your comp now to type this! thanx so much gal!
wendy, for the little snacks and drinks too :)
mel, for providing your place for 12 noisy gals to sleep over for 4 nights last wk. u're the best!
the awesome Intl Missions Team, for being one of the best teams i've worked with ever. i thank God for each and every one of u.
in particular, to pallas, i've really enjoyed getting to know ya better and thanks for safekeeping my precious NTE mug over summer haha...
and nath, thanks for letting me put a bag of my stuff in ur room for that wk
and caz, i'm gonna miss seeing u around bundy...
I could go on forever. I really cherish the entire NTE experience of learning so much, and seeing God bring in all the people to hear the gospel. The God we serve is such an awesome God.
It won't be an overstatement to say that this has been the best 2 weeks in my time here. I'm really glad my semester here has ended on such a high. Thank you God for that!!! (and yes, also for my results. Thank you for blessing me with those results too! all glory goes to you alone.)
This Christmas, I pray that you will take time to know that Christmas isn't just a time of Santa Claus, shopping and snow. Why was Jesus born? Why did He have to die the way He did even though He wasn't a criminal (recall the movie Passion of the Christ)? Why does He claim to be the Son of God? Why is this God and this Jesus not only a 'western religion' (it's not even a religion!) but for everyone??
I probably won't be blogging for some time while I travel in NZ, but this is my prayer for you as you celebrate Christmas this year... my friends, consider Christ.
Consider Christ

Consider Christ
The source of our salvation.
That he should take the penalty for me.
Though he was pure,
A lamb without a blemish;
He took my sins and nailed them to the tree.
chorus:
My Lord and God
You are so rich in mercy
Mere words alone are not sufficient thanks.
So take my life,
Transform, renew and change me
That I might be a living sacrifice.
Consider Christ
That he could trust his Father
In the garden of Gethsemane.
Though full of dread
And fearful of the anguish;
He drank the cup that was reserved for me.
Consider Christ
For death he has defeated.
And He arose, appeared for all to see.
And now he sits
At God’s right hand in heaven;
Where He prepares a resting place for me.
Blessed Christmas!
