tired++

tired tired tired tired tired tired tired

Old already man... a few late nights out in the wk and I'm about to juz collapse of exhaustion on the roadside or something. I guess it didn't help that the floodgates opened this week and referrals has been absolutely pouring in the whole of this week. Of which, quite a number were patients who juz drove me nuts with their bargaining and testing/pushing of boundaries or were juz plain frustrating.

I will sleep at 10pm today. I need it. zzzzzzzzzzz...

one fiesty old raisin

I woke up this morning to find my hamster dangling from the 2nd storey of his cage. He must have gotten stuck and couldn't help himself since his back legs are weak anyway, since i-dunno-when. He wasn't struggling very hard since he's a feeble old guy anyway, so my first thought was oh no he finally passed away, but what a way to die!!

Anyway, he was still alive (feeble but fiesty!) and being an OT - and OTs are experts in campaigning for safety in the home and recommending home modifications - I've decided to just let him have only the ground floor of his cage now. No stairs for him and no holey wirey floors for him to tackle, given his weak hind legs.

Anyway, here's an excerpt of a funny conversation when gaz came over last nite:

tj: why don't you get a brown hamster? you don't like brown hamsters ah?
me: er... this fella used to be brown. he's really old now so he has turned white. but he was actually brown. really!
tj: huh!

Yeah, trust me... he really was brown. See - a shot of him in his younger days. Those were the days.................
